Individuals, governments, NGOs, UN agencies and international organisations all provide assistance in response to humanitarian crises. While each may be obliged to report according to local or national accountability regulations (such as through audits for example), there is no universal obligation to define, channel, account for or report humanitarian aid contributions in the same way. So how do we get our information?
