Global Humanitarian Assistance 2007/2008

GHA projects

In addition to publishing the GHA reports and providing ad hoc assistance on humanitarian funding flows, the GHA team works on special projects in support of humanitarian assistance reform.

Private and non-governmental funding flows for humanitarian assistance

Private and voluntary funding for humanitarian assistance has increased very sharply in the last two years. Yet most analysis of humanitarian funding still focuses on the funding and policies of bilateral donors and multilateral agencies.

Funded by Irish Aid, GHA is working to identify volumes and characteristics of private giving to NGOs.

Work is due to be completed in early 2008.
